Peterhead 1-1 Clyde- Match Report

Peterhead made to pay penalty

Kieran MacDonald netted a stoppage-time penalty as Clyde denied nine-man Peterhead in a feisty 1-1 draw at Balmoor Stadium.

The home side took a deserved 10th-minute lead when Fraser McLaren fired past Jamie Barclay from inside the box after being played in by former Clyde midfielder Bryan Gilfillan.

James Redman came close to doubling Peterhead's lead when his effort struck a post before they were reduced to 10 men with 22 minutes left.

Defender Conner McGlinchey was dismissed for tipping Michael Daly's shot over the bar but keeper Graeme Smith saved John Sweeney's resulting penalty.

The game boiled over with three minutes remaining as Andy Rodgers, having already been substituted, was sent off following an incident near the technical area.

Clyde were then handed their second spot-kick of the game in injury time following Jordan Brown's handball and, after a delay to sort out another dust-up, MacDonald coolly converted.
