Alloa ease past Peterhead
Alloa moved further clear at the top of Division Three courtesy of a comfortable 3-1 victory over Peterhead.
Playing with confidence from the off, Athletic took the lead in the 13th minute when Graeme Holmes found Ben Gordon, who produced a neat finish.
The visitors impressed thereafter, though, and levelled things up 10 minutes before half-time through Rory McAllister's sensational 30-yard strike.
However, being on level terms did not last too long as Mark Docherty put the hosts back in front a minute later with an impressive finish.
Any hopes Peterhead had of restoring parity once more all-but evaporated midway through the second period as the hosts grabbed another.
Steven Masterton sent in a well-directed corner, allowing Stephen May to strike home and seal the win.
