Strikers to turn out for Blue Toon

Peterhead strike duo Rory McAllister and Andy Rodgers will play against Queen's Park despite carrying injuries.

The injured Callum MacDonald (knee), Dean Richardson (head) and David Cox (foot) remain out for the Blue Toon, whose manager Jim McInally has told his men that they will be facing a rejuvenated Glasgow side.

He said: "Queen's won last week against Elgin and kept a clean sheet and they will take a boost from that. They have also brought in an experienced manager in Gus McPherson and the players will be out to impress him so we have to be at our best."

McPherson will travel to Balmoor but interim boss Richard Sinclair will pick the team. However, Sinclair will not be able to call on the suspended Michael Keenan.

McPherson said: "Richard has prepared the team all week and done a good job during his interim spell in charge so it is only right that he picks the side to face Peterhead.

"I will be there in the dug-out and looking for the signs of progress that I heard were on display last weekend.

"Training was at a very high tempo which I was delighted about and I am looking forward to seeing my new side in action."
