Defensive loss for leaders

Top-of-the-table Peterhead have lost Reece Donaldson ahead of the visit of Elgin.

Raith Rovers have recalled the on-loan defender and he has dropped out of manager Jim McInally's plans, while Graeme Sharp (hip) is a doubt and the Blue Toon again miss the injured Dean Richardson (head), Callum MacDonald (knee) and David Cox (foot).

Despite sitting at the summit McInally does not believe that his side are a bigger target now.

He said: "A lot of people tipped us at the start of the season to do well and we have been a target since then. Elgin will be tough opponents but all opponents in this league are tough."

Elgin will have Ray Jellema in goal for their trip to Balmoor after they appealed the red card he received against Annan on Saturday.

Brian Cameron (foot) and Paul Millar (knee) remain out and Jamie Duff is a major doubt with a groin injury.

Manager Ross Jack said: "We would not have appealed Ray's case if we did not think we had a good chance of it being successful.

"We have a decent record at Peterhead and are looking forward to the game. We have to be careful as their striker Rory McAllister is on fire just now and we have to find a way of stopping him scoring."
