Peterhead V Elgin at Balmoor Stadium - Match Preview

Bad boy McAllister returns

Peterhead striker Rory McAllister will be included in the squad for the home game against Elgin after serving a two-game club suspension and fined for breaching club discipline at training last week.

McAllister, also fined by the club for breaching club discipline, could feature, but Andy Rodgers is suspended following his red card against Stirling last weekend and Dean Cowie is absent due to work commitments.

Blue Toon boss Jim McInally has bolstered his numbers by adding Falkirk youngster Ryan McGeever and Aberdeen midfielder Steven O'Neill on loan and they will be included in his squad.

McInally said: "Our games with Elgin always have an edge to them.

"Bearing in mind both sides are looking to recover from disappointing starts to the season, this should be a cracker."

Elgin defender Sean Crighton is available, with his suspension following his midweek dismissal against Formartine to be served in the Ramsdens Cup.

The Borough Briggs men also have Paul McMullan available after work commitments, but Ally McKenzie and Darryl McHardy miss out due to their work schedules and Sam Urquhart (shin), Mark Nicolson (stomach) and Paul Millar (knee) are all sidelined.

Craig Gunn is also a major injury doubt and manager Ross Jack said: "Both sides are struggling for form.

"But that form usually goes out of the window in these games. We're not that far away from turning things around and a win over Peterhead could ignite our season."
