Peterhead V Clyde at Balmoor Stadium - Match Preview

Injuries rock Peterhead

Peterhead quartet Callum MacDonald, Ryan Strachan, Scott Ross and Dean Cowie have all been ruled out of the home game with Clyde.

MacDonald (knee), Strachan (ankle) and Ross (groin) are all injured, while Cowie is unavailable due to holiday commitments.

Bryan Gilfillan, David Cox and Graeme Sharp all face fitness tests with Blue Toon boss Jim McInally bringing in 16-year-old Jack Tait as cover.

McInally said: "We could be very short on numbers, but the players coming in have a great chance to impress.

"Clyde are a well-organised side and have strikers who are quick, so whoever comes into play will need to be at their best."

Clyde welcome back Giuseppe Capuano to their travelling party following suspension, however illness continues to keep Ryan MacBeth out.

John Sweeney is doubtful with a shin problem picked up in last Saturday's 3-0 Scottish Cup win at Gala.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "Peterhead are the favourites for the league so we know that we are facing a very good side.

"Balmoor is a very tough place to go, but I'm asking the players to deliver a consistency of performance after seeing how well they played last weekend.

"If we can reach that same level then we have a chance of taking something from this game."
