Peterhead V Clyde at Balmoor Stadium - Match Preview

Triple blow for promotion chasers

In-form Peterhead will be without a trio of players as they look for a seventh win in a row against Clyde.

Martin Bavidge is out with a hamstring injury while Callum MacDonald and Davie Ross are recovering following knee surgery.

Ahead of the game Blue Tooners boss Jim McInally said: "We may be in the play-offs but there will be no slowing down from anyone in a Peterhead jersey.

"We have competition for places throughout our team and if anyone is taking it easy they run the risk of losing their place. No-one can rest on their laurels and think that they can coast in a game and keep being picked.

"Clyde are a really well organised side who work hard for each other and this is actually a revenge mission for us as well as they were the last team to beat us."

Injury-hit Clyde have been dealt a further double blow ahead of the trip.

Livingston this week recalled defender Callum Fordyce from his loan spell at the Bully Wee and Jack Sloss has dropped out of their plans after picking up a wrist injury.

Jim Duffy was already missing Michael Oliver (knee), David Marsh (groin), Gavin Brown (ankle), Gary Graham (ankle), Stuart McColm (leg) and Kevin Nicol (hamstring) and the Broadwood boss will bring in players from the club's youth team to cover.

He said: "I had always said that Peterhead would hit form and finish second and it now looks like they are.

"We are going there low on numbers and will have a few players in unfamiliar positions. However we beat them 2-0 recently so we can be confident."
