Clyde V Peterhead at Broadwood Stadium - Match Preview

MacDonald doubtful for Clyde

Scottish League Two leaders Clyde will monitor attacking full-back Kieran MacDonald (hamstring) ahead of their clash with in-form Peterhead.

MacDonald is rated as doubtful but could play some part, while goalkeeper Jamie Barclay is definitely missing due to a chipped ankle bone.

Manager Jim Duffy has lavished praise on his players for the run that has made them table-toppers. He said: "The players were terrific against Annan on Tuesday and they kept working away until they got a winning goal. We need the same determined approach to take anything from a Peterhead side who are clicking into gear."

"Every game in this league is meaningful and you simply have to be at your best all the time."

Peterhead have doubts over their star strikers with Rory McAllister struggling with illness and Andy Rodgers missing training this week due to a niggling pelvic problem.

A knee injury keeps Callum MacDonald out and David Cox is also absent due to a broken foot.

Manager Jim McInally is predicting a good game of football. He said: "Jim Duffy has done a terrific job at Clyde and moulded his players into a fine side over the past couple of seasons.

"They have some quality in their ranks and are showing that with recent results. They have a confidence about them but we are in good form as well so it should be a great game."
